Ever heard of SPOILER ALERTS!?
almost every titled post gives away spoilers thanks.
It's the internet. The film has been out for years. Get over it. -

Neither are good reasons to be a beep and give spoilers.
Still, it's a place with lots of information. Don't come here if you don't want to be spoiled. -

No, it's 100% a dick move. I haven't seen the the movie, I only logged on to figure out if it's worth watching or not and now I know that there's a time loop of some kind and Jess kills her friends. I don't even know who Jess is.

maybe you should just watch a movie next time instead of coming to a message board that talks about a movie?? I mean reallly if a 6.9 rating on IMDb and an 82% on RT doesnt tell you if the movie is "worth watching" as you put it what the beep else do you really need?

LOL, great reply. I think most people that make a post like the guy you responded to want to be told what to watch, and what not to watch. However, these are probably the same people that end up questioning why they're being told this.
Really disappointing knowing there are such empty people in this world that need to be told what to do or what not to do. They clearly were able to make a decision by coming to this message board, but then once here, they're waiting for someone to give them directions. /facepalm

you read the user reviews if you wanna find out if a movie is good or not, you don't read the message boards duh lol.
user reviews: spoiler free (or spoiler alerts), right on the movie's main page, just scroll down
message boards: a place people can discuss a movie
they've finished watching
, you have to click the link to get there

I'm with OP slightly.
I don't mind spoilers in discussions. I just hate it when they put spoilers in thread titles. Even if it's for a 20 year old movie. Because people will still see that movie the first time, and when they do they might want to look up some information before watching it: What's it about? Who's in it? Genre? Length? etc
So if they then see "ZOMG it was his wife's head in the box!" or "Holy crap, Darth is Luke's father" or "Not suicide but escape. Way to go Andy!"
Those as thread titles are super annoying. In this case things like "When mean Jess killed" etc. -

No, this is stupid. All that information you said people generally look for before watching a movie is on the main movie page. Also, none of this information is near the very bottom where they show a preview of what's on the board. If you're looking to see if a movie is good or not, which is what op claims, then you read reviews. You don't go into forums where people are talking about what happened in the movie. And reviews show up before the board on imdb. So there is no reason for people to shield their spoilers and no reason for anyone to get upset about it.

You are at a website devoted to discussing films. You open threads for a specific movie (a movie which is SIX YEARS OLD), and you're upset that they're DISCUSSING THE FILM?
There are moments when life offers you an opportunity to evaluate how well you're using your mind. You've been given a gift. Learn from this. Try thinking things through. You'll find life is a lot more rewarding that way.
Movies are IQ tests; the IMDB boards are how people broadcast their score. -

That's some patronising nonsense from someone who appears to have missed that OP was talking about spoilers in the post titles, not the threads. Besides,
there's a spoiler tag
. Most film forums have them, and people use them. It's called
"not being a dick"
. Think about it. There are moments when life offers you an opportunity to evaluate how well you're using your mind. You've been given a gift. Learn from this. Try thinking things through. -

If you want to check out whether a movie is worth watching or not, then just read through the dozens of user movie reviews, or the critics reviews that are always linked If you go to a movie's message board designed for people who've already seen the film and wish to discuss it then you get what you deserve.

The OP isn't complaining about people discussing the film with spoilers. He simply said that it's awful when people feel the urge to write spoilers in the freaking title! I watched the film long ago but, as newspapers, if you haven't read/watched it, it's news.
Scrolling down to the reviews section reveals the discussion boards as well, often with CAPS ALL OVER, FROM LONELY PEOPLE SCREAMING SPOILERS.
It will always be a dick move that's why I don't even bother with reviews from the internet, cause the spoilerists are everywhere, enjoying ruining it for others. -

Even before the Message Boards section, there's the Cast, Storyline, Did You Know? (with Trivia, Goofs, Quotes, etc.), Frequently Asked Questions, and User Reviews, ALL of which contain spoilers. So it seems dishonest to blame message board users for spoiling, when essentially the ENTIRE PAGE has spoilers.
The more you scroll down, the more you'll be spoiled. At least the Message Board section is last.
