According to Wikipedia's page detailing the plot for this movie, it states that Darby had his legs, arms, fingers and toes removed, and then he was beheaded and killed by Shelton. However, in the movie, it shows that Darby was placed in the back of a car, something covering his head, then I'm sure I saw his legs move.

That want Darby. It was the cop he stole the police car from. That's why he said "Thanks for the ride." When he tossed the keys in with him.
