When he asked the guy in the cell what he was in for, the one he kills with the steak bone. what if the guy told him he was in there cause someone raped and killed his daughter and he went after the guy who did it and killed him and that's how he got in jail> what that have made butler not kill him cause he understands?? or was he just crazy and not have cared and killed him anyway..????

There are plenty of other things he could have done to get transferred to solitary confinement, killing his cellmate just made it easier and also ensured he wouldn't be messed with by guards or other prisoners.

Great question.
I just thought of one too. Remember when the warden said prisoners don't have access to time. If that was the case why didn't he say that earlier. Also what if he did? Then what if they brought Clyde his meal at 12pm instead of 1pm or just very close to 1pm, just whatever time before 1pm. Then Bill Reynolds would have been rescued and what would have happened then? Would Bill Reynolds then try to sue Clyde like demand he goes to a much worse prison, like a Chinese prison??
