I was curious and watched.I regret it now terribly.Kilmer aside others acting is so cheap and not plausible. While watching I could not restrain myself asking disturbing WHY questions.are mobile phones forbidden in the arctic? why do not any of them have mobile phones? Why do not they ask for help? Did you see this kind of quarantining before? they are trying as if how a quarantining can't be done, look here this is perfect example.Ling Chen walks around, you can spot among 1000 people that she is sick but nobody asks and even nobody suspects boyfriend Frederico.Frederico goes much further to strip off his friends with gun and nobody still suspects him. Do not waste your time. The thing is far better than this.

in such regions mobile phones do not work. you would need a sattelite phone, not something a student can afford. the station had a radio to contact, and it worked until shot at. They did ask for help via radio, and that got shot later on.
The thing is better, but this film is not that bad alone.
Applied Science? All science is applied. Eventually. -

It had all the same plot points of the thing. Out in the middle of no where. Something buried in the snow. Helicopter trashing. Radio destroying. I could predict everything before it happened because I've seen the thing so many times. Not bad though
