(THIS IS NOT A SPOILER SINCE IT HAS VERY LITTLE TO DO WITH THE BALANCE OF THE FILM, HOWEVER IT MAY BE TO SOME, SO LOOK AWAY IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THE MOVIE, SINCE YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ANSWER THE BELOW ANYWAYS)
In the open credits, there is a video of a girl with a supposed TICK in her head, a guy puts a hot pin on the wound and a little worm pops it's head out, was this part of the film stock or was this an actully parasite footage?
That was the best part of the film
    JP

I think this is how the researches assistant got infected. we only see her beign infected, not how she got it, this clip explains us ahead.

          Spoiler:
I was wondering about this - so this is supposed to be Jane, Kruipen's assistant who goes apesh*t after she gets ill?
I have another question: Maybe I am just reading too much into it, but there is a scene toward the end where Evy goes in to retrieve the camera from Jane's body and then there is a buggy that tries to creep into her. They get it out of her before it goes inside her, but she has this scrape/cut area where the bug tries to nestle into and I have to wonder about it. I saw the same scrape/cut in every one of the infected people. So was she infected anyway? Or was it just a scrape that had nothing to do with what happens and is just coincidental or did the parasite make it? This movie wigged me out!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ugh!
Also, how did they expect to contain the disease if they never destroyed the woolly mammoth that has all of the eggs to begin with. They blew up the station lab, etc., but not the wm creature at the field station that was in the second tent, and they didn't burn the dead people at the site (or the dog). Therefore, those eggs still existedI guess that is how the crow got infected and moved to some other place that we see at the end

That's right, and not to forget Federico, who was possibly infected and not destroyed/burned.

Well they most likely got all of that contained since they know about it.
The crow could easily have been infected by ANOTHER thawing prehistoric animal. That site won't have been the only possible source. So as long as the thawing continues the parasites can spread.
The video of the forehead I thought was of the other research assistant that died and was buried in the beginning.
