Honestly, I was expecting a lot better for this movie. The way Ari and Cynth talked about it and crying every 5 mins I was expecting something spectacular. 2 hours and 40 minutes yet it still felt like a rushed mess. Enjoyed the songs but that's about it. The way this was hyped up with the merch and god knows what I was expecting a masterpiece! The way people were crying as they were walking out movie theatres and all sorts, I was expecting that to be me! The only part where I shed a tear was when Elph was dancing and Glinda joined in, and even then it was a single tear that trickled down my cheek. Huge disappointment. I wanted to be emotionally destroyed!
I know it's a musical, but I was expecting a bit more acting throughout. Idk maybe it's just me and I'm not used to musicals
I doubt I will be watching the second movie until it's available on blu ray.
