Dude, I said
"it looks like a pos to me."
That doesn't mean
it's bad,
it's just
my opinion
. So sit down, take a stress pill,
and chill.
MAGA! FAFO!
Schrodinger's Cat walks into a bar, and doesn't.

Well, of course it doesn't. I previously acknowledged that. There was more to your previous statement, which I was also addressing in mine. Are you attempting to make a point here or just stating only
half
of the obvious?

I think he genuinely likes it and it's nice to hear somebody who you'd expect not to saying so.
That said, I think he's chasing the grift these days and unless he does a review of that new Brian Cox and Bill Nighy Christmas movie set in McGuillycuddy I think he's just going for what is considered the attention of popular eyes and has little to say about the overall shape of entertainment outside of the stuff that gets him clicks and cash.
Which is fair enough, but when that's your motivation you can be bought off and therefore no longer stand on principle.
I was prepared to see Barbie because I liked everyone involved in it from writers to all the extras cast. That felt like a big thrill with a couple of hidden twists.
This is simply a popular West End production which made it to screen. This used to happen a lot before and so there's historical relevance that is appealing but the story itself isn't one that sits with me and the context of Oz being the background that it's set in also doesn't appeal to me.
The Wizard of Oz was fine, groundbreaking even. And by all means play with that story and make new adaptations based on its world and let's see what sinks or swims. But it's just not for me. But glad it was for the Drinker

Barbie equals a no go for me. Wicked’s problem is it’s length , plus with prequels we know the eventual out come of major characters. Plus I have a few issues with this movie ,like calling the University Shiz lol.Plus in the original wizard of Oz the Wicked witch looks much older then the good witch and is the Wicked witch really that evil? According to Wicked, she seems like animal rights activist and the wizard seems like a ****, I did not get those vibe from the original.
