I dunno. I think the first Hatchet was better overall. Still, Hatchet 2 was stronger in areas that were weak in the first but the reverse is true too. The first had better pacing, was a little less predictable, and more fun characters. Then again, Hatchet 2 had the more epic story, which was unfortunately rushed and padded.

Count me in as liking the first one better. I also think that part of it was that I liked Tamara in the role better than Danielle Harris. The first one I thought that the cast meshed together better than this one.

I actually enjoyed this one more. Tony Todd's telling of the back story was super creepy, and I was glad to see he had a much larger role in this one. The first one did have way too much of a 'Girls Gone Wild' vibe.
        Sincerely, yahmez the mad.

Hatchet one felt like a real throwback and part 2 felt like a campy B movie with that intention instead of how one just felt old. Part 2 pretended to be old with more gore. I feel Frozen however looked better than both Hatchets.as far as quality.

The first movie was a lot of fun. This one was too cheap for my taste. I prefer the first one. 🙂

Pretty close to what I would give the Hatchet movies - definitely a solid 5/10 on the first one, maybe even a 6. But only a 2 or 3 on the sequel, for this horror movie lover.

The first one was funnier, this one had better gore. Neither of them were good though (both get 4/10 from me).

I personally liked the original better. It had a more cohesive feeling to me, and some well-placed comedic bits that really worked.

Hatchet II is my personal favorite of the trilogy, with Hatchet III right behind it. Loved all of them though 🙂

I still like it a lot/love it, but I found the characters of 2 much less memorable/interesting than 1's or 3's. It's my least favorite, actually

Meh, I preferred the original Alien which was a great sci-fi horror movie with plenty of thriller to boot. Aliens was a fun movie, but Ridley's cinematography was beautiful.
As for this sequel it was pretty much just more of the same thing which many like me enjoyed (with much guilt lol).
