Where you lose interest, lose the plot and can't be bothered to look back and figure out what's happening. Only watched it to complete the series - then learn there is a 5th - curses!
Edit: And yet it grossed a Billion - what am I missing?
I have always depended on the kindness of Strangers - and the bastards let me down! -

The whole franchise is rife with the shabbiest, "bro culture" dialogue. Ridiculous and preposterous.
Deliberately anachronistic and –by very intention on the part of the writers and producers –historically inauthentic.
I refuse to waste my time on it.
The best pirate movie by far –in my opinion anyway –is "
The Buccaneer
" by Cecil B. DeMille. Paramount Pictures, 1938.
