Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides

I love the POTC films and saw this film twice in two different cinemas and also have it on Blu-Ray. One thing that always really annoyed me is how dark the mermaid attack at White Cap Bay was. It was so dark that it was difficult to work out what the hell was going on. However on watching it on Netflix today I've noticed that the sequence seems to have been color corrected. The whole scene is now really bright and the only light source in the sequence, (the light house), seems to have been boosted. I still don't know what the mermaids are flinging to pull the Pirates into the water..hair, rope, seaweed?
