The child passed away in a nearby Hospice with her family, not sure if you have them in the US but they are amazing places and their job is basically to bring dignity to terminal illness and to support the family.
I think that the reasoning was that keeping her artificially alive was causing her tremendous pain.

It would haunt me the rest of my life the what if? That’s just me. I don’t fault you or anyone else on their views especially when hit with the reality of it and what you would do. That being said, there have always been children in my family. I also have experience with a terminally ill family member and how important it is to make their last days comfortable through hospice care. So, shut the **** up.

I already addressed this horse ****. It's irrelevant and emotional, but yes, I know what it's like to have loved one who is terminally ill. I also have a very close friend who lost their toddler to illness.
