Just watched the first 3 episodes and I'm convinced that the writers secretly read Filmboards.
E.g. their sailboat needed a new rudder!
Just kidding…no orca appeared till now. 
It was very, very sad that and how the last Brit died.
He deserved to experience love leastwise once. But fantastic views of Walker-occupied London.
Many references to older and more recent history. The last Tommy said (not verbatim):
"We wanted to lock-up ourselves, and that worked at first. And then we couldn't get out anymore."
At some points I needed online-help.
Whose Rubik's Cube was that again? –> Young Laurent's from France…totally forgot. ähem
What movie watches Carol with Antonio? –> The Exterminating Angel (1962) by Luis Buñuel.
Who is Jeffrey from Barcelona?! –> Rick's brother, only known to the comic readers.
Who is Jerry? –> King Ezekiel's bodyguard and consultant.
Carol mentioned Jeffrey and Jerry, and now everyone is excited to see, when they show up.
I can happily do without Rick and Laurent, but would like to see the next episode!
Next episode in 4 days, Hmpf. -

great episode with many fights.
Even medieval drones!
Some scenes reminded me to one of my all time favourite movies:

Of course, the special effects are nowadays much better. -

I heard rumors of a Daryl show, but honestly thought it didn't come out

Daryl's critics will delightfully bash him about this episode, as he doesn't actually appear in the comics.
Admittedly, this episode is a bit of a black-white story (good poor, evil rich/leader).

I liked the episode although, because I like Daryl.
And kudos to the make-up artists for the realistic-looking lepers. -

In S03E06 "Contrabando" (= Smuggling) Daryl and Carol continue to prepare for their sailing trip across the Atlantic to the USA. It certainly won't become a romantic journey.
Both make their appointments and try to tie up loose ends, while they're haunted by memories.
The promises made to locals already hint at who will die in the next episode (season finale).

"Solaz del Mar"
(= Solace of the Sea) is the final episode of the season.
The title could also have been
"Daryl, the Saviour of all Women"
.
But some really cool scenes in it.
Season 3 Finale Exclusive Clip
The embarkment to overseas didn't go so well.
The sailboat burns down in a beautiful last scene with several explosions.
Maybe they'll make it in the final season 4.
S03E07 reminded at the end of Script Supervisor Amy Lacy, who died in September.
