I can't, with your retardation.
️
I answered you. You just don't like my answer.
Ask your friend the same thing since we both agree. If she doesn't have kids, are you going to tell her she has no right to say anything? If she does have kids, why does that make her automatically right evwn though it's thensame thing I agree with?
My mother was terminally ill and in her final weeks even very short car journeys were hell for her. I can't imagine her consenting to being moved hundreds of miles by road and air just to prolong her life by a small amount and if we had had to we wouldn't have made that decision on her behalf either. She had reached the stage of acceptance and was able to say that she was ready to die. When someone says that you know that their quality of life has become unbearable.
The long and short of it is that the child was obviously unable to voice that and the parents were still in denial. The courts had to intervene. I don't understand what is tripping people up here.
You stupid fuckers, you know who you are. -

It's working out great because it's funny watching youn be careful with how you're responding to her despite us having the same viewpoint.
The different between you and Dazed is that Dazed is expressing her views respectfully, politely, and without calling somebody a **** for being upset at the death of a baby.
The difference is Dazed is a good natured adult and you are a piece of **** who acts like they're still in diapers.

Fuck you, I'm gonna do what I want, but seriously, I expected confrontation. Was looking for it when I posted in my tone. The point is to annoy and discomfort, but with facts.
I keep pointing to what Dazed is saying not to be like attack her, but to point you to someone who's pandering to your respectability politics bullshit, but saying the same thing. Funny how modt have aboided discussing it with her.
My polemical style has gotten you to engage. You want **** polite because it's easier to ignore and dismiss.

For me if there was even a small chance of a treatment working I would move heaven and earth to make it happen before making the permanent decision to cease life support. It would haunt me the rest of my life the what if? That’s just me. I don’t fault you or anyone else on their views especially when hit with the reality of it and what you would do. It’s a complicated emotional situation.
As I said previously I understand why the parents are so upset but there are times when nothing can be done and this was one of them. They were presented with false hope which was cruel and caused them the added trauma of going through the courts. Reading between the lines there was religion involved and I guess hopes of a last minute miracle.
The court's decision was that removing the child from life support to move her on a journey that would take several hours would cause her added pain and suffering and be ultimately pointless.
I don't think where she died made much difference provided her family were able to be with her which they were. She was 8 months old and unaware of "home".

I'm glad there are courts to make the tough decisions in these cases as obviously the parents don't want to believe what the doctors are telling them and the emotion is obviously stopping them from seeing the reality. It is accepted that a dog or a cat is put to sleep before the suffering gets too much for them but this poor baby, and others I have read about over the years, have their suffering needlessly prolonged. Well done on the courts for doing the right thing by a terminally ill helpless being. -

You have absolutely no idea if this is true. Zero. You've got your stance on it and now you're just saying made up things and presenting them as fact trying to strengthen your argument. Your "experts" on one side tell you there's nothing that can be done, yet we have experts in Italy saying there's a chance. You're blindly following one side only because it fits your original opinion while ignoring every other "expert." This is where taking the decision from the family is the problem. I have no idea if the kid would have survived or not, and neither do you, we do know for certain that the child was going to die for sure without it, and the government, who has no connection and doesn't give a single **** about the kid, made the decision to just let someone else's kid die and deny parents the chance to get their kid treatment.
The court's decision was that removing the child from life support to move her on a journey that would take several hours would cause her added pain and suffering and be ultimately pointless.
That changes nothing, these people are constantly wrong about everything, so they're throwing out this line as justification for an evil decision they made.
She was 8 months old and unaware of "home".
You are forced to do so much speculation to justify your stance on this.

You try having a terminally ill family member hooked up to life support and see how you feel about moving them.

i dont a court should overrule a family decision, but that decision must exist in writing or digital and not some "he said-she said" about medical care. on the other hand, hospitals have finite space, resources, staff. should those get subordinated to the needs of one patient who in the most extreme case is non-responsive and clinicly "brain dead"?
so i say take the patient home and let the family care.
then tghere's insurance: you pay less than pennies on the dollar for a policy; should OTHER policy holders subsidize the care where costs could be millions, if the alternative is plug pulling?
i dont know. i have my wishes written and in digital so if/when, the trail is clear and unambiguois.
** in florida way back when, a woman named terri shivo collapsed and went into a non-respomsive coma. she and the husband had nothing in writing about medical decision making. under florida law, the spouse is the sole authority to make any decison, absent any legal documentation asserting other spouce's wishes.
her parents would not accept she was "gone." they pulled every dirty trick in the book, and then some, in order to gain control over her care. the doctors told the parents she would never regain awareness or communicate. the docs had no take on whether in this condition a person was passively aware and hearing/seeing. but under florida law, she was considered brain dead.
this went on for years. some dirtball filmed the woman and then via creative editing released a video purporting to show Shivo "reacting" to stimulus and questions. it was all fake. The husband became the ground zero for hate and violence, all in the name of keeping terri "alive." The "pro-life" crowd actually had signs reading "Kill Michael Schivo" at demonstrations. go figure! Parents were catholic as well as the daughter and husband. Catholic groups shamelessly profited off the parents' grief and desire to keep the woman alive.
the parents litigated the case at the county, state, and federal levels. they lost every single case not only on first taste but on appeal. they lost in the supreme court. If memory is ok, i believe "W-yuh" called Congress back INTO session for an emergency meeting where a Bill was written granting some kind of supra-national legal status or an affirmative directive to prevent plug pulling. it passed 433-0 in House and 99-0 in the senate. Bush signed it before the electrons on the printer were done cooling down.
i think that's when the SC declined to hear the case.
after the death, the autopsy showed the poor woman's brain had suffered an irreversible lack of oxygen and her entire higher functions were dead instantly.at no point from her collapse until death was she "aware" of her condition. her body still had periodic movement due to currents naturally circulating in the body.
well meaning people can **** up a bad sistuation just as easily as a bad person can destroy a good situation. Blame God for our fragile, fickle, feeble physical bodies and the need for constant care and not the healthcare system!
