Delightfully old school. Anybody who doesn't like this isn't a fan of anything that makes the genre great.

I also liked it mainly cause I am a big fan of Stallone it was a wel made action movie thats all it needs to be. It did feel like a direct to dvd film at times and I blame that on poor direting but other than that its great!!!!!

I'd heard that this was a disappointing movie, but I just saw it and basically LOVED it - definitely worthy of 7 or 8 stars out of 10. I found Stallone's wry personality and sarcasm to be great entertainment, and the tone and style of violence were just right for an old-school action movie. I have nothing to complain about, and I am appalled at how many people just didn't "get" this movie. Dumbasses. This is one of the best Walter Hill movies, and one he (and everybody else involved) should be proud of.

I'm only halfway thru the dvd & already it's even more entertaining than i had hoped. I'm liking it better than the expendable movies & the last stand. I actually didn't care for the last stand, but BttH is pretty much everything i hoped TLS would be.

I really liked it as a fun, entertaining "new generation" action film. What I mean by that is that I think people got bent out of shape expecting something like 80s/early 90s action and this movie just doesn't fit that mold (even with Sly). To me, this is more in the vein of his "Expendables" partner, Statham, and his type of modern action film (something like "Crank" or "Transporter").
It wasn't a classic or anything but I laughed at a lot of the dialogue and was pleasantly surprised. Thought Momoa gave a great performance and his character was a bit of a off-shoot of your typical cliche action villain (though Slater and Mr. Eko were about as cliche as they come, lol) -

Agreed with the OP!
I Heard that some people said that is dissapointed, but i gave it a chance because the combo of
Sylvester Stallone
+
Walter Hill
sounded too good to be true and i really like it and enjoyed it!
