Anna was likeable … accurate representation?

There is no doubt that Anna Wintour had control over what we saw in the final version of the film, but that does not mean what we saw was fake. No one person is completely good or bad and as many of her employees stated is that Anna is there in a business fashion. Anna is ALL business at Vogue. Couldn't you tell how much looser she was at home? Plus, Anna was raised in England in the 50s and 60s where women had to be prim and proper and you can tell Anna still carries some of that with her. So add that with her professional manner and her being the damn editor-in-chief (which is a HUGE responsibility) and that makes for a very cold person in public. I thought that we saw just enough of her nice personality and just enough of her cutthroat side that it was a fair depiction. Sure, I bet there are examples of her acting out the extremes of both ends, but the documentary was smart in not showing those. It was a really fair film all around.

And don't let it escape you that Anna, at the end of the film, was VERY gracious and appreciative of Grace and her "genius," despite Grace's sniping thoughout. She let all that meanness stay in the movie and was quite kind, I thought. She was certainly not the villain of the piece.

However, I did notice that people danced nervously around her was there something we weren't shown on the documentary?
Anna Wintour is the most powerful woman in the world and she has extremely demanding standards for the people in her employ. So it is only natural that people are nervous around her. You see the same thing with respect to the Queen of England. -

TDWP was definitely an exaggeration of her true character. Like her coworkers said, she isn't particularly warm, but she is by no means cruel. She is just efficient and does not like to waste her time. She's kind in her own way.
Which would be worse, to live as a monster or to die as a good man? -

She's the most powerful woman in the fashion world I think.
