I don't see why Neal would freeze Mozzie out the three last episodes of the show, and then travel to France without Moz. Hell, he even made his two best friends believe he was dead. I can maybe see why he would do it to Peter, but why Mozzie? Poor guy, didn't even come with Neal to France. Was left with 20mill $ though.

Having them believe he was dead was the only way NC could finally be free. The FBI brass would have held him in anklet indefinitely. Then, later, the clues NC left behind lead them to the container wherewell, you know the rest. Or should.

It's obvious that Mozzie was NEVER out of the loop, but he didn't let Peter in on it until a year later when some of the heat had died down. Mozzie is the one who left the wine bottle out on the stoop with the clue 702 on the cork. Mozzie left the Queen of Hearts in the storage room for Peter, letting him know that he was in on it. And Neal needed money to go to France, and conveniently Mozzie had $23 million in unrecovered funds from the heist. They needed to lay low, but it seems that Mozzie was ready to leave for Paris after letting Peter know that Neal was alive.

because Mozzie wanted to Neal to continue conning, and Neal was done with it. he had already told Peter that of ALL the ones he knew including Mozzie and Kate, he TRUSTED Peter and that Peter was his best friend.
he HAD to leave Mozzie out of the loop, to not look for him. but, he did leave this: go back to the beginningand Mozzie didmaybe Mozzie is hoping that he would somehow return.
