When did you start to watch White Collar?

I actually started watching White Collar at the beginning of this year. I had just finished watching Criminal Minds on Netflix & wanted another series to watch that wasn't short (tv series with only a few seasons) & entertaining without being too serious & still lighthearted with some comedy thrown in. I kept seeing White Collar in the "more like this" section for my previous shows. I kept skipping over it thinking I wouldn't like it & I didn't really recognize any main characters as actors/actresses that I love, but I finally gave in when I couldn't find anything else I liked & I am definitely glad I did.

How fun, there's so many posts on this thread from familiar names on the Matt Bomer board (duh, I know, just sayin)
I watched all of WC this fall on Netflix bc I was looking for a new show after having finished Dexter. Got hooked immediatly (pilot!), loved everything about it. Became a big fan of Matt Bomer and Tim DeKay (and, agree, those two together are great!), even though there hasn't been anything new yet from Tim DeKay(he will be in a new series 2016). Watched a lot of other stuff with Matt Bomer since but for me personally, WC was the best yet.
Miss the show. Still looking for something with a similar mix of light-heartedness and fun with a fleshed-out story, suspense, development of characters, great setting/scenery, good acting, likeable original characters with chemistry Ah, not gonna happen I guess :-).

yep I saw the trailer, I think he plays the dad of the main lead. Not sure if that's my kind of show but I kinda got into that mystery stuff lately. Hasn't been my genre really.
But - thinking of it, I watched Buffy and Charmed (blame me, I was very young
) at the time and liked it. And I am now getting into Supernatural and liking it. Hm.

Totally agree!
Bluespot, I don't know if you ever got to see Matt in Tru Calling? Loved him in that show! At least he's in 14 episodes of that show. Love Matt's messy hair as his character Luc in that show! I almost got through all of season one in one sitting! The show only had 1 1/2 seasons, and was only worth for me when Matt was in it. I also really liked the show "Chuck". Matt was in a couple episodes of seasons 1 & 2, and I know Tim DeKay was in some of the episodes also.
I did see a show that Tim DeKay was in previously to WC called "Tell Me You Love Me" on HBO. Definitely a different show to WC. Check it out if you get the chance. -

Thanks, yes I did watch tru calling back at the time when it aired, but not all of it. I did like it, I liked Eliza Dushku and the story was good too. On my list :). Chuck - I watched a couple of episodes and it didn't work for me even though I can't really put my finger on why. I'll give it another shot. Funny I didn't know that they both were on chuck!
Never heard of "tell me you love me", a lot of HBO stuff doesn't really cross the Atlantic;) I'll check it out. Gosh, so much stuff to watch I'll never find that much time I guess :).
Btw, happy holidays to you all!!!

Ikr? How can anyone not become a White Collar fan without becoming a Matt Bomer fan? Not possible! Just saying! -

I have just done the same thing. I finished Chuck on Netflix and then binge-watched White Collar.
I may have seen commercials for the show when it was airing originally but I didn't take the bait then. Too bad - but having it to watch now is also great!
