    I think that was unnecessary, unfunny, outdated and really a stereotype that shouldn't be propagated. That might just be me though.
    When ever I hear people mention football hooligans and the English I think it was so long ago and not really relevant anymore so to have that scene there really irked me.
    Think Moran made a misstep there.

          I found that bit quite funny. I'm not a football fan/supporter but it seems to me the police still go to ridiculous lengths to keep rival supporters apart so why not carry on in the Zombie after-life ?

            I think it was a valid joke. Notice at the beginning of the movie, the undead zombie cops still tried to hold onto their guns.
            Some zombies might even retain a few memories, such as the female nurse at the nursing home almost recognizing the guy in the walker.
            So to have football fan zombies see the colour of a team they hated, and then tried to fight them, it wouldn't be that much of a stretch
