You're framing the accurate observation about the animosity directed at white men and dismissal of issues they face as complaints about "oppression", but if you want it can easily be argued that it amounts to oppression. In our society you see it where white men are chosen last when applying for jobs, colleges, even when they are more qualified than other candidates. You see it discussions like this one where it's acceptable to treat straight white men with contempt, whereas if you were to say the same things about any other group you would face an outrage mob and calls to be fired from your job and be cancelled. When you have a society-wide movement that villainizes a group of people then it's not long before that group faces oppression. It happened with black people, with Jewish people, with indigenous people, and many more. It happens every time.

You live in a part of the world where the majority is white and you are in a profession where the vast majority is make. Of course you're going yo see most of the people being represented as white men. That doesn't mean there haven't been white men who were overlooked in favor of filling a minority quota. The reason you're even in that room is because you're a girl.

It doesn't have to be an official policy. It usually isn't. If you don't think being the rare women in a field dominated by men makes you stand out and gives you an advantage over equally qualified men then once again you are blind.

I actually agree it makes me stand out. At the very least, it helps clients remember me and since women are generally nicer and more agreeable, they probably prefer working with me over some grumpy dude.
However the argument that if a company is 90% white men, it means the other 10% were positions that white men should have had is just insane! You're a victim unless you get everything? -

I remember reading a letter from a woman in Victorian times that was complaining the man she loved lost his job to a woman they could pay half. Thought that was interesting. Obviously that's no longer the case but it's the same complaint about immigrants. -
