Did anyone else pick up on a hint of sexual tension from Clove when she was grappling with Katniss on the grass near the Cornucopia?
It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing

You didn't pick up on the extra (needless?) aggression on her behalf - both while they were training and during the game itself - that she expressed?
That's your take on the characterization, then. What happens is more overt in the novel, but it still makes an appearance in the adaptation.
P.S. "Women's movies"? How is this a woman's movie? It has a female protagonist in the lead, sure, but it's not about women's rights or women being oppressed, and the story wouldn't change significantly if Katniss happened to be a young man. The main character simply happens to have XX chromosomes: that's all.
P.P.S. Were someone to say "This is what happens when women try to watch men's movies", you can bet your bottom dollar that they'd be called sexist (as they ought to be), but apparently the reverse is somehow socially acceptable. What a sad double standard.

how C was pushed into becoming the sadistic killing machine we saw.
Heymitch says the Careers go to an Academy to learn how to fight well; this probably included some psychological programming to enjoy the fighting and mayhem. You might call it Insensitivity Training.

Bumping your own thread will only make people add you to the ignore list, like I'm about to do. No one wants to discuss your stupid topic, take a hint, you pathetic loser.
If I don't reply, you're probably on my ignore list for something I forgot already
