You people are way to generous, stop giving bad movies good ratings. Do people have such a bad taste? The rating is pretty close to movies like "enemy". Br realistic, this movie should be around a 4-5. I'm serious. Movies like this dont deserve a rating like this. Its not fair and pretty stupid. Even if you liked this junk, be realistic and give it a rating it deserves. If you gave this a 10, you're an idiot who shouldnt be allowed to give votes, soory but i think thats the way it should be

I genuinely gave it a 2/10.
I don't understand why it would be positively regarded.

i know the OP's post was nearly 2 years ago but at it's current 6.3/10 is not THAT high for the average score.
the way i see wide IMDb opinion when it comes to average ratings is pretty much like this
4.x/10 and lower = bottom of the barrel.
5.x/10 = generally negative opinions.
6.x/10 = mixed opinions (could be slightly more negative or positive depending on which side of the 6's it's on)
7.x/10 = generally positive opinions.
high 7's on up = the more praised movies.
but just for me personally while i used to think Taken 2 (2012) was solid on my first couple of viewings it just took a hit on my third viewing on Nov 30th 2016 as i no longer like the movie overall, but it's still alright enough to watch once, which means it's pretty much a middle-of-the-road/average movie overall in my mind. but only the first movie is of any real worth as the first movie is within my Top 115 movies.
i give Taken 2 (2012) a 5/10. which most of these are usually at least alright enough for a viewing it's just they don't have any re-watch appeal which means Thumbs Down as that's what ultimately makes or breaks movies in the long term for me is whether i want to re-watch them or not.
but with that said i do think people in general hand out high scores regularly around here as people need to make better use of the 1 through 10 rating scale which i personally do. my most common rating ihand out for movies is a 5/10 (Thumbs Down. but usually alright enough for a viewing.) with a 6/10 (a mild Thumbs Up) being the next most common.
but to give you exact stats on how many of each of what i consider the more higher scores i have handed out (with a bit more details on my 8's)
10/10 = 11 movies
9/10 = 20 movies
SOLID 8/10 (i.e. 8/10 or a 8-8.5/10) = 35 movies
7.5-8/10 = 49 movies
7/10 (i.e. 6.5-7/10, 7/10, 7-7.5/10) = 88 movies
Total = 203 movies
but with that said i still like and do re-watch movies i score in the 6/10 range but these i only mildly like where as 7's and higher are what i would consider my favorites as they stand out from the pack. but counting my 6/10's and higher that total comes out to roughly 575 movies out of the 2,000+ total i have seen.
My rating scale as of Sep 29th 2014 to date
10 = About as much as i can enjoy a movie
9 = Nearly as much as i can enjoy a movie
8 = Memorable
7 = A Solid Thumbs Up
6 = A Mild Thumbs Up (My minimum score to re-watch a movie)
5 = Average/Forgettable (Thumbs Down)
4 = Below Average
3 = Failure and/or Boring
2 = Failure and/or Boring
1 = Abysmal/Hate
for measure most movies i see get a 5/10 with a 6/10 being the next most common.
for the record i ultimately rate movies based on how much i enjoy them. the further they get away from that, the lower the rating.
so with my rating system posted above ill say from what i have observed that it's very similar to the majority that i have noticed on IMDb as even though some might word theirs a bit differently i can tell they mean pretty much the same. but with that said, there are some people who have different rating systems from mine but the way i see it anyone who's rating system is too much different from mine (it can be a bit different, just not a lot different) is likely flawed but not because i think i am superior to those peoples but it's because mine is more balanced where i use a 5/10 as the center/average and then it scales up and down fairly evenly from there. my really low ratings, primarily 2-3/10 scores, could use a little refinement but the way i see it, it's not worth putting too much effort into the low score simply because they are all clearly negative at that point where as i am more concerned with the positive range scores (i.e. 6/10's and higher) since those are what matter the most in general.My Top 100-ish Movies of All-Time! =
