What was wrong with Sandrine Holt?

I thought she was pretty cool. I see where someone called her wooden, but really she was the leader and took her job seriously. I'd prefer to call her more sober or no-nonsense. Wooden isn't exactly the right (or fair) description.
I was really impressed by her in this, coming on the heels of her very weak and way too green character on
House of Cards

I'm not aware of any previous discussion on this topic, but now that it's come up, I have to admit I never cared for her character of Patricia Thornton. It's not that she seems 'wooden' (to me) but that she has NO personality. She's a very one-dimensional character, who could easily be replaced with a robot or even a cardboard cut-out. I'll be interested to see what they do with this situation. (Can you say "I've been framed"?)
Meantime, I'm enjoying rewatching the original MacGyver, which I haven't seen in probably 20 years. (I try to ignore RDA's lamentable mullet, lol, which appeared as early as the second season.) -

You can't really count Hostages or The Returned when you talk about her not sticking with a show. Both of those shows were canceled and only had the number of episodes she was on. We have no way of knowing if she would've stayed longer because she didn't have a choice.
