Anyone find a lot of similarities to this with the brilliant movie, The Grand Budapest Hotel? Of course the genres are different, but they have enough similarities that they can both be compared. Great acting, great story, great writing, the main characters are both suave hotel managers, they get mixed up in a plot of deception and murder- you can go on and on.
I personally think The Grand Budapest Hotel is better, but I still enjoyed The Night Manager. Which one do you guys prefer?
Wendy? Darling? Light, of my life!

It reminded me much more to Gangs of New York at the least the three main Characters
Jed and Jenny the girlfriend of the bad guy who switches side almost at the end
Richard Roper and Bill The Butcher a very charming guy who turns to be evil and Dangerous both are supposed to be the most evil man in the world ohh and both value Loyalty very much.
Jonathan Pine and Valentine the main hero who wants revenge for the murder of someone very close to them, they infiltrate into the bad Guy's world and become his protege to latter be discovered and now the bad doesn't only hates him for Betraying him, now he hates our hero for stealing his woman Jed/ Jenny.

Love both, but I have to go with Grand Budapest.
