The guys he owed 300M to were in the truck. They were the ones who arrived just as the truck was ready to go. He knew he was in for a beating.

I think Roper was in for something far worse than just a beating like being tortured and killed out in the desert.
At the end there, he looked to me like a damned soul on his way down to hell.
But I'm kind of confused as to why the other arms dealers didn't go for Pine as well. From what they could see (even though we know better), he was Roper's right-hand man.
Therefore, in their eyes, Pine would have been just as guilty of screwing them over when all the weapons blew up.
        Edit
: Never mind, I just read another thread that explained how Pine must have "swung" the operation.

There is a possibility that Roper who was a very wealthy man, might refund the $300 million. Remember, he said earlier that he and Corky had spent a week in an Indian gaol. He had been in tight spots before and he might survive. After all, killing him and the Arabs lose everything.
          Any better ideas?

Very valid idea - and would hopefully be a great start to a second series!

I don't think it was about money anymore, it was about pride. Did you see the look Hamid Sr. gave him when Roper yelled at him?

Nobody values their pride at 300 million dollars. The Arabs took him to ensure they got their money back. Once it was returned I'm sure Roper could have persuaded them that he was far more valuable to them as an arms dealer than a corpse.

Because of those people he was dealing with when Pine finally unmasked himself remember? Pine blew up all the cargo and the people wanted their money back but he already drained the account. Roper started yelling at the guy and started threatening him and being racist. Well anyway, these people got ahold of the van he was in and probably drove him to their turf to torture and kill him themselves.

Roper told Angela he had so much money he could pay anything back in installments. But these people aren't going to wait on a refund.
The kidnapping was in public at the hotel lobby entrance. Roper was the main target. He was in handcuffs and loaded up in the van. Taking Pine too would have lead to a fight with the police and the British.
I don't know everything. Neither does anyone else

He was saying the installments thing signifying he's been in cahoots with the British gov. I didn't take it as him being super wealthy. Well he was that, but I took it to be that the British gov would go easy on him.

Even a guy like him has not just laying 300 Million around. Fair to assume also he gets only a share of that, since it are british and american weapons and he has to refund the costs. What I did like about that scenes is that Roper despite all his "free entrepreneur" speeches is very reliant that the government shifts the weapons to him and keeps him out of legal trouble.

He was referring to the slap on the wrist fine he believed he would get from the British government, especially if Halo stepped in to help, not to any pain his business partners would inflict on him for taking their money.

Because he wasn't going to jail in England, the Arabs got him, which meant he was in for an old world rape/torture caper.

Remember that in the first episode if is shown that the Egyptian police are very corrupt and can be bought. Pine remembers this (they will not investigate Hamid for Sophie's death). So he transfers the money knowing that when Roper is arrested the police will be able to be bought off by the men who are angry with Roper. Since Roper will likely get out in a few days, as he says - he did none of the arms trading himself, after all - Pine knows that the best way to make him pay is if he owes someone who will do something far worse to him than put him in jail for a day or two. That's why Angela smiles at Jonathan at the end. She knows he orchestrated the whole thing knowing she was waiting at the hotel to arrest Roper with the Egyptian authorities and that the buyers wouldn't be too far behind.
