#1. Ellard's acting. This guy is seriously underratered. Great emotional depth in his character.
#2. The scene in the hotel room. It was pretty emotional.
#3. Hennessey's song in thr hotel. I really liked it. I looked on ITUNES and there it was. Ghost In My Head. It turns out that Jill is a singer/songwriter too. I bought it and lovd it.
#4. The ending. Sad and REALISTIC! COuld have been a stupid cliche hollywood ending. It was not..
Hope this helps people to watch this indie gem!

Excellent synopsis of this film's strengths. I think this movie took a while to get going, but that scene in the hotel captured the passion and agony of Ron Eldard's character. Ultimately this film was driven by its performances rather than its plotting, and in that regard it was a success.

Don't tell that to the investors underwriters. Directors aren't supposed to only deliver "aesthetic successes". Where were the producers when the shooting script was shown? I've already explained why I feel the film tanked at the box office. If one is out to make a boutique film that has no chance to resonate with enough paying customers one is a pretty indulgent "artist" and in my mind the project has not been truly a success.

This is a little gem.
Eldard's portrayal rings very true. I've known people who were like him or on their way to being him. The roadie type is typically lost in a fantasy world of sex, drugs and low rent rock and roll, which allows him to remain in emotional adolescence well into middle age.
There's an entire subculture of 80s, hair band misfits out there. They didn't get the memo that hair metal music died in 1989. This film captures this subculture so accurately its eerie.
I'll take Punctuality
