A different dog was used as Columbo's dog in Etude in Black. Henry the Dog made his first appearance as Columbo's dog in the season four episode Playback and continued to play Columbo's dog up until the season seven episode How to Dial a Murder.

I mean, Eddie, on Frasier, was played by one of the original's offspring at a certain point, wasn't he?
