It was much darker than previous Marvel films.
Very talented Cast. Micheal B Jordan Of Creed. Miles Teller of Whiplash, Kate Mara etc..
Great Soundtrack.
The length of the movie is not too long and not too short. The surroundings were well made and beautiful.
This is storytelling without telling too much. We have four troubled kids, but their background is not overdrawn at all. There are just some little hints: the impressive face of Miles Teller and the laconic remark "My parents weren't interested" tell a story that needs no staged melodrama. Likewise the problematic relation between Johnny Storm and his father.
Talking about Johnny Storm: the movie makers made him afro-American and used the character to illustrate the perfidious habit of the US military to enlist young black men with poor social background and dull prospects.
Of the background of Victor von Doom we also just get some glimpse, not the whole story. There obviously had been some incidents and you always feel them under the surface, but it is not necessary for the story to know all the details.

I agree. I don't know why it didn't work.
It's better than all the Avengers movies, that are so long, boring and non-sense.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe is so hard to swallow, those movies are lost in themselves, in their storylines and characters, they aren't general audiences-friendly, they are very pretentious and empty.
I think this movie is more accessible for the general audiences and it's a great new start for The Fantastic Four. It's not a masterpiece, but it's entertaining. -

Yup. Truth fam.
The Avengers movies and all MCU movies bore me. It's the same tired formula over and over again. Disney is afraid to be creative and try new things.
The MCU is essentially just the same thing over and over again and some of their movies are even movies. Like Iron Man 2 and Thor 2 just big long hour commercials for the nest MCU film.
The Fantastic Four was a nice breathe of fresh air and a good change. Hopefully it gets a sequel.

Same. I'm a big fan of the FF for over 10 years and I love it.
These fans are just mad its not MCU and I'm happy for that. Having different studios making marvel movies allows for more creativity and diversity.

, they are very pretentious and empty.
The BO receipts and IMDb scores say otherwise.
And this movie was complete trash from start til finish. -

First of all, welcome to IMDB, King. Clearly this is your first account. for me, a story with no middle act and truncated 3 act is far too short. And roughly 90 percent of the action took place at the Baxter facility. What was so beautiful about the surroundings?
In the kingdom of the blind, you're the village idiot. -

Thanks.
Well I liked the surroundings because visually they were unique from most Superhero films.
The story was a bit shaky at times but it was creative and artistic and its nice to have something new shake things up in a while.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
okay lets get to the fundamental problems that make this movie worse then twilight and your opinion retarded
Boring characters with no personality or pathos
describe the characters without doing the following
mentioning their professions
using one word phrases
saying the word superhero
describing their relationships
and what comes out are lifeless characters with no pathos
plot or lack thereof
we got powersand then a whole montage of pointless walking talking dull sequences
poor world building
when you have a film that takes place in a wasteland all the time then you are in trouble
horrid chemistry
poor library scene is perhaps the most yawn inducing scenes since anakin and padme and my dick just yawned just thinking about it
pretentious dialogue that dont hold up at first viewing
the apollo analogy literally made my theater laughi mean seriously armstrong was a pilot who beep had qualificationsplus pretty much every word that comes out of everyone elses mouth
lack of stakes
earth is an uninhabited from what we saw(goes back to world building)
boring visuals
trank was on some serious acid, this film looked like something out of syfy -
