Compared to the boring dreck that DC keeps spewing out? How far back do you want to go? I'm sure you'd love to include TDK trilogy even though they aren't part of the DCU.
So, without those movies, you have Man Of Steel, BvS and SS.
Man of Steel was dull. I liked it ok. I actually liked it more the second time I saw it. But it is still dull. Most scene that take place outside have a filter over the camera so that it doesn't seem bright out. They can't allow one of their movies to not seem somber.
BvS wasn't very good and I've not seen SS, but I can't see where it would be any different than the other two.
In addition, DC's own people have been admitting 'mea culpas' when it comes to their movies.
You are one of the people who "thinks" that there is never levity in moments of danger. Watch Band of Brothers. There is a scene at the Battle of the Bulge where Babe Heffron falls into a snow covered German fox-hole. He and his buddy realize it and as they are hauling azz out of there, they are laughing at the situation. Sgt. Lipton was laughing during one of the German shellings because he said he was seeing the best fireworks show he ever would and he didn't have to pay to see it.
The jokes overwhelm the simple-minded viewers so they forget all of the other things going on in the movies such as betrayal, standing up to bullies, losing life-long friends, sacrificing yourself for a friend, government trying to take control of everything, PTSD, etc.
It is a shame that DC fanboys are so wound up in their own securities that they can't allow themselves to say bad things about DC movies or appreciate Marvel movies. -

Once again, the tradition of using humor dates back to Stan Lee's time at Marvel. DC heroes were pretty much defined by their powers, not their personality. Stan as head writer and editor injected humor to differentiate the characters.
In the kingdom of the blind, you're the village idiot. -

Fantastic Four is the 138th worst movie of all time.
Suicide Squad is the 119th best movie of all time.
BvS is the 40th best movie of all time.
Civil War is the 11th best movie of all time.
Deadpool is the 5th best movie of all time.
So its impossible for Fantastic Four to be better than Suicide Squad, BvS or Civil War let alone Deadpool. -

My wife and I liked it, also. It wasn't great, but it wasn't the "turd" a lot of people made it out to be. THere's quite a few who rated it 5 (above average) and higher.
It was more of a background movie.
We have it a 7. Nowhere near the 4.3 this movie is rated. -

I agree. Many people are just bitter and allowed there bitterness to get in the way of the film.

It's a shame Trank never got to finish the movie. I loved Chronicle and when he was announced as handling this film I was very excited.
For what it's worth, the 1st 45 minutes were pretty decent.unfortunately, the movie ended 30 minutes after that! And those 30 minutes were a mess. -

I've contacted several lawyers about suing you, but so far none of them have agreed to take the case. They just keep hanging up angrily when I explain it to them.
