Those things obviously have plenty to do with capitalism, you numpty. Constant innovation and competition. Capitalism is driven by companies trying to outdo each other to "win" your money. Yes, I've mainly focused on market competition and consumer choice, which are the "greatest hits" of capitalism — but it's the same system. If there’s no profit to be made and no competition to beat, why would anyone spend billions of dollars and ten years of their life trying to squeeze a supercomputer into a pocket sized phone?
Or you could try living in Cuba or Venezuela for a week. Or, perhaps, North Korea? -

I hate Coke and I also hate phones. They are both inventions, and inventions are commonplace in every human conglomeration, not necessarily in capitalist ones. The ancient Chinese discovered gunpowder and pioneered the printing press: they were not capitalist.
