for fans of the TWD universe, i've compiled them here bc it got a little confusing there, perhaps…

(
Fear the Walking Dead
SPOILERS within
)
The final six episodes of "
Fear the Walking Dead
" will premiere in October 2023.
i've seen most of it. it was a really good show for a good run of seasons, even surpassing TWD at some point, but then it just went downhill due to some atrocious writing at some point down the line. i gave up some time after they killed off
Garret Dillahunt's character
which was my fav for so long and then they announced that
Alicia was bitten and infected
which was the final nail to that show's coffin for me and i stopped caring anymore. i may pick up watching some time in the future bc i do kind of want to see how
Madison's return plays out in the show,
but other than that, i don't really care about any of the other story arcs.
Maggie and Negan have their own show called "
The Walking Dead: Dead City
."
Lauren Cohan and Jeffrey Dean Morgan also have their own six-episode spinoff series.
Originally called "Isle of the Dead," the show follows the unlikely pair as they travel to "a post-apocalyptic Manhattan long ago cut off from the mainland" in search of Maggie's missing son, Hershel.
Fans were initially surprised by the news since it pairs Maggie back with the character who famously killed her husband, Glenn, on "The Walking Dead."
Filmed in both New Jersey and New York, the show features "the country's largest herd of zombies," including landmarks ranging from the Statue of Liberty to the Lincoln Tunnel and the Empire State Building.
"Dead City" premiered on June 18 on AMC and AMC+ with the season one finale airing July 23. The show was renewed for a second season ahead of its finale.
"
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon
," starring Norman Reedus, will premiere in September 2023.
"The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon" was originally supposed to feature Daryl (Norman Reedus) and bestie Carol (Melissa McBride) with "TWD" showrunner Angela Kang set to oversee the spin-off.
AMC previously confirmed to Insider in a statement that Melissa McBride departed the upcoming spin-off. According to the network, "relocating to Europe became logistically untenable for Melissa at this time."
With the series moving abroad, Kang now only serves as an executive producer on the show with David Zabel showrunning.
"The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon" will follow Daryl as he mysteriously washes ashore in Paris, France, and "struggles to piece together how he got there and why" on his journey to get home.
During an October 2022 appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!", Reedus teased, "I don't go there on my free will."
"We'll, like, destroy the Louvre and stuff. It's gonna be nuts," Reedus said of the iconic art museum.
The show will debut on AMC and AMC+ on September 10 at 9 p.m. It has already been renewed for a second season.
Michonne and Rick are returning to the "TWD" universe in their own show in 2024.
Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira surprised fans at San Diego Comic-Con 2022 to announce their return to the universe. The actors left the series on seasons nine and 10, respectively.
Initially, Rick's journey was set to continue in a trilogy of "TWD" movies, which is no longer happening.
According to a 2022 press release, the Michonne and Rick series will "begin with six episodes," making it seem like there's potential for this to be more than a limited series.
Lincoln and Gurira will serve as executive producers on the series with "The Walking Dead" chief content officer Scott M. Gimple serving as showrunner.
Originally scheduled for a 2023 release, AMC announced at the Television Critics Association winter press tour panel that the show, which will continue Rick and Michonne's "epic love story," was pushed back to 2024.
At 2023's San Diego Comic-Con, AMC revealed the official name of the series will be "
The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live
" along with the show's first teaser trailer.
"
The Walking Dead: World Beyond
" finished its two-season run in 2021.
Taking place a decade into the zombie apocalypse, the limited series shed more light on the Civic Republic Military, the mysterious group who took Rick (Andrew Lincoln) away on season nine of "TWD" in a helicopter along with Jadis (Pollyanna McIntosh).
Star Nico Tortorella previously told Insider that "World Beyond" would help connect to the Rick Grimes' movies, which will now be a series.
Though the show never hinted at Rick's whereabouts, McIntosh reprised her role as Jadis on the show's final season as a leader of the CRM.
In doing so, the show may have subtly hinted that the group will have a future showdown with the Commonwealth's massive army that was introduced on "TWD."
i've seen the whole thing, it was alright. nothing really special tho, except of the new characters and a new set-up with the whole Commonwealth story arc which created a somewhat new perspective, but other than that, same old same old. it's r -

yes, i'll watch that Rick/Michonne one, too. and i guess i'll start the Megan/Negan one as well bc i think they had great chemistry during the last couple of seasons of (original) TWD… i'm still on the fence about the Daryl Dixon show. the premise sounds boring af and he wasn't really my favourite. though i guess my curiosity will make me check out the first episode at least
and then i'll decide after that…
where are you in FTWD so far and how do you like it?
EDIT it's *Maggie not Megan LMAO

Season 2 right after
Daniel catches that compound on fire.
I'm loving it so far. I watched the first season when it came out but I stopped watching after that. Not sure why.
The Daryl show seems the most boring to me

ohhhh okay, well then you're gonna have a couple of more really good seasons ahead of you! they will introduce a bunch of really good actors by season 4 which will also change the pace of the whole show, so that's something to really look forward to. i will say no more, tho!

I watched Fear the Walking Dead when it first came out, but I ended up giving up on it at some point. The main reason I watched it was to see the early days of the zombie apocalypse, and they skipped over most of it. So many apocalyptic shows/movies skip over the part with people slowly discovering what's happening to the world.

Thanks. I stopped watching TWD after the six-year time jump. I watched occasional episodes (probably not full episodes, but parts of episodes) after that out of curiosity, though, and I watched some of the last episode. I might watch a little of the premiere episodes of the spinoffs out of curiosity too.
