the Just Stop Oil people are really admirable?

You
do
realize that while they're causing roadblocks, tons more of toxic gases are being expelled into the atmosphere because they're holding up traffic and creating extensive traffic jams, clogging traffic, sending plumes of exhaust into the sky as the cars sit there revving their engines in anger or even idling, waiting for these idiot ****tards to get the hell out of the way,
don't you?
How does losing your hand by gluing it to pavement solve fossil fuel problems? How does destruction of property solve the fossil fuel problem? How does gluing your face to the pavement solve fossil fuel problems? Idiots, the lot of 'em.
If they're that concerned, instead of lazily moping around wearing orange vests or destroying property, why don't they go to college and get degrees and get into environmental politics and become part of the solution to solve the actual problems? I know why. Because that would involve work and they want everyone else to do the work. They just want to be lazy and cause trouble while nothing gets done instead of being proactive. Yup. They sound like they're sincerely interested in the health and wellbeing of this planet's environment.

What they're doing is direct action. They're not just sitting on their asses, you ****ing Karen.
Disruption makes it harder to ignore. You affect the bottom line of businesses enough, they are pressured to change. Or maybe nothing happens and they're ineffective, but they're at least doing something. It's getting people to pay attention, and even if that's all that's gotten from it, it's better than nothing.
And no, rheir blocking traffic doesn't expell a significant amount more of pollution.
You realize some of these people probably have gone to school for these things. What do you expect them to do to make change after getting these degrees?

So what if some idiot car-owners are blocked and sit there with their engines idling?
The West, especially America and Great Britain, have had something like a ****ing century to try and cut back emissions (that's how long scientists have been warning them) and what have they done?
They have ****ing increased their emissions!
So yes, it's time to rub the faces of the ignorant consumers in the dirt and say: Hey, wake up, ****tards, people like you are destroying the earth! We need a zero emissions policy! That means no more fossil fuels being burned. That means no more cars, no more economic growth, no more destruction of species.
Is that simple enough for you, you moron?
The protestors are the admirable, moral human beings. The people resisting them are the short-sighted, greedy, we-want-our-comforts-let-the-rest-of-the world-go-hang imbeciles who ought to kill themselves.
I guess I won this one…. (yawn) -

For one thing, and let's get this clear right off the bat, I am not a moron. Those would be the ones gluing themselves to pavement and risking losing their hands and wrecking their faces that they glue to the pavement as well. Pretty soon, people are going to get fed up and rip these idiots from the ground. This is not going to make a difference.
Yes, causing traffic jams which have resulted in ambulances being unable to get people in critical condition to the hospital is a problem. You obviously don't care about the health and welfare of human beings if you're willing to let some knuckledraggers with too much time on their hands and too much air in their heads engage in stupid behaviour to disrupt people getting on with their lives.
If someone is sincere about wanting to make a difference, then by all means, go make that difference. Get involved in the things that will have an impact and make changes. Do your part for what you believe in to fix the problems, not become another one.

I'm sorry, but anyone who adopts the position that you have is definitely a moron. Let's look at your go-to advice:
You must not protest in such a way as to disrupt the functioning of a society that is hell-bent on destroying the world we all live in. You think daily traffic not being disrupted is some kind of great thing, instead of being (what it is) clear proof that we have foolishly bought into a paradigm of endless growth and exploitation of the natural world.
And what is your advice for these protestors????
Go to the university, get a degree, join a political party, and (wait for it!)
become part of the solution
!!!!!
That takes perhaps a decade or two! Has it not occurred to you that carbon emissions are already causing hundreds of thousands of deaths, species extinction, and wars? Not to mention that most scientists believe that if we continue on the path we're on, we ourselves face extinction????
You're like some damn ostrich with its head buried in the sand, shrieking: Don't stop the traffic! That's really important!
