Yeah, he told me he got sentenced to 10 years, and that his mother is also serving time. Prison is a fitting place for a pedophile.

Mark's description is pretty accurate. He saw a girl in a school play that he took a liking to and began to follow her around town, filming her. The parents caught on and called the police on him. I'm sure there was more to the story than that, though, as that doesn't explain his mother's arrest.
