What are the arguments for using utensils? Are they all related to the optics rather than the functionality? It's more civilized? Great. Let's make a show of our civility before we invade the capitol or burn and loot small businesses. Soup can be poured down your gullet and most everything else can be picked up with your fingers like you're a wild animal, because you are. It gets weird with cake though. Maybe we cut the cake first.
The only thing you need a spoon for is creamed corn. The consistency makes it awkward to pour it straight from a bowl. It must either be eaten with a spoon or baked into a cake. Shooter is all that stands between us and freedom.

Depends. I was just feigning civility, similar to those eating with forks and knives. But
many activities dictate you have clean hands. If, for instance, we lived in a world where someone other than Warren played guitar, and if, for the sake of argument, that person were me (it isn't, I'm not Warren), I would need to either wash my hands or shorten the lifespan of the strings/wood.
