Yeah. Umm… article says that the gun came off a Navy fighter jet, right? Pretty sure the Navy has more weapons of that kind… definitely more than what some jackass in Bumfuck, USA has. I'm also pretty sure the Army has that ****, and the Marines, the Coast Guard, Air Force, and the National Guard.
You say that the average gun owner possesses greater and more advanced firepower than the military, and that's just ****in wrong, mate. You argue that members of the military would all side with gun owners and that's also ****in wrong. Some of them would, yes, but many wouldn't. You also assume that literally every gun owner would actually go to war with the US if the government ever decided to take their guns away. I mean, think about it, the USSC repealed Roe v Wade and the vast majority of people in this country were against that. I'll also add that the vast majority of people in this country are in favor of increased restrictions on gun ownership. Yet nothing is really getting done about that right now. You know why? Because despite how against something the average person is, people are generally shiftless little plebs who can't be bothered with doing anything that inconveniences them slightly.
If the US took away guns, most gun owners would give them up begrudgingly but willingly. Obviously, there are psychos like you that would try and merc anyone who comes for your guns, but you'll definitely get put down rather easily and become nothing more than a statistic.
Now, if you have anything that's actually constructive to say with your retort, then by all means, go ahead and provide me with your counterargument. But, knowing you, you're about as dumb and useless as a ****ing empty box of ammo so there's little hope you could come up with anything that resembles an intelligent counterpoint. Do you really thing that thing is effective on anything smaller than a semi? You apparently have no firearms experience. Trying to hit small human sized MOVING targets is hard enough from a stationary position. Now stick it on something moving a few hundred miles an hour. Most of the big toys you are so impressed by are that way. They were designed to kill other big things.

Because at troop level it is true. M4/M4A1 5.56mm Carbines are standard issue. Most civilians have better weapons.

Among then I know maybe only a dozen who might do that. People generally do not willing give up thousands of dollars in personal property willingly & without compensation. I am a hunter and have basic infantry training as a soldier and my own personal weapon is better that most standard SWAT issue. I may well lose but it will not be easy.
