Which is why there will be increases of crime and violence which includes mass shootings.
Adding more and more firearms is like fighting a fire with gas.

I can understand if it's part of your history and a key pillar of your constitution, you are going to have a big gun culture.
A lot of my own country is rural, or northern, so there's both a lot of critters and a lot of hunting. That's baked pretty deep into the culture, except for in the big cities.
Where we often get a bit lost is why anyone needs an automatic or semi-automatic weapon for self-defence outside of a Mad Max movie, or why why one can't wait a few days or weeks for background checks to go through for a firearm, but hey, variety is the spice of life. -

A Mad Max movie. At this point they are needed because everybody else has them. This place may turn into the Balkans someday, but will never turn into V for Vendetta. Pick your poison I guess.
In any case, the time to regulate pistols and semi autos was about 1935. A bit late in the game to do much about it now.
