One glance at those eyes and it's clear Tina’s been taking unlimited rides on the crazy train.
Remember the Miami cannibal attack? You tackle the wrong lunatic hopped up on bath salts and that lunatic gets super strength and eats your face off.
The last thing anyone should ever do in a case like this is to get near one of these maniacs.

Sounds like you’re taking one extreme situation that’s not even similar to this one and generalizing that’s how police should treat all mentally ill people.
I have no problems with police tazing anyone who keeps approaching after they've been told to stop. It usually will keep everyone alive and not permanently harmed.

Honestly, a tasering is arguably less likely to cause permanent injury than if she resisted and kept being violent during a physical abduction. It sucks, but she'll recover fast and live to see another day.

The cops had know way to know if she was mentally ill or hopped up on drugs at the time. She could have just been a crazy lady or an addict hopped up on PCP whole will rip their eyes out if she got too close. A cop can't take that chance.
It's easy to see in hindsight that things could have been handled better if all the information was known at the time.

She spent the previous 20 minutes or so violently destroying the bar in the place. She clearly had the capability for violence. A smart person wouldn't let her near them.

Destruction of property
IS
violence. She didn't hurt anyone because they wisely all stayed away from her.
And she did also throw a bottle at the cop before she started stumbling at him.

Are you saying insane people spend a lot of time responding to Internet mockery? Look at the people on this board. The clearly insane ones just keep posting the same ****, over and over again. There is no indication that the mockery traumatizes them or encourages them to move on.

No I’m not referring to this board, but you wouldn’t know what anyone on here has to deal with in their personal life anyway so you can’t make that judgment. Mentally ill people, even common illnesses like anxiety or depression, tend to be misunderstood and get poorly treated and judged by others, especially by people of authority. No one seems to take mental health seriously or even cares about it enough to understand it or have any common decency towards humanity in general. It’s sad.
I'm quite mad myself and don't expect any sympathy from anyone. I treat my insanity as the source of my creativity, and it makes me quite happy. Would that others did as I do!
