It's not a lie (or an alternativefact) it's a view point.
The first season was good because hey it was the first TV show dealing with zombies apocalypse, then the second as a viewer it became so boring and lame,that I would have let a zombie eat me..
Some entertaining episodes in 4 and 5, among 50% of filler episodes
Meanwhile, FTWD have developped more themes and character development in 2 seasons than TWD ever did in 5. -

Not at all. Quite bizarre assertion. Perhaps you didn't pick up on the themes dramatized in Seasons 1-3 (but 2 & 3, especially strong thematically). A
lso, the character development for the first 3 seasons of TWD carried the rest of the seasons because so much was packed into the characters and their transformative arcs. The current showrunner can't develop characters, though, so Gimple has nearly destroyed or exhausted everything.
He's even worst at characterization and depth than FTWD writers, who are definitely poor and struggling. They showed some potential in season 1 but season 2 destroyed that. FTWD is quite amateurish when it comes to both of the qualities you named. Did you fail screenwriting class?

Ohh I'm curious, which "magnificient" themes were developped in TWD that you're so proud of ?
Both shows suffers from some inconsistencies but at least, the characters are well more interesting in FTWD, struggling both internally and along with theur relationship with others.
In TWD, the Rick Grimes family drama was the most boring thing I've ever watched.
FTWD is quite amateurish when it comes to both of the qualities you named.

There are several. And I absolutely could enlighten you. However, why should I? Why would I want to? Do you see yourself "enligtening" people about your claims, which are ludicrous and can't be supported btw.
Why don't you read my archive posts in TWD if you want to know more about my praise of the first 3 seasons which were well designed storytelling. I've discussed thematic arcs in TWD on many occasions, as well as the wonderful Season 2 and 3 parallelism and symmetry. I'm not repeating myself for you.
You sit here and you watch FTWD and you see the characters suddenly exhibiting traits that aren't even set up properly and yet you praise charactererization (Alicia is the worst example. Strand is also an example of unstable characterization. Nick is best example of a good attempt at characterization).
You see a lack of integrity with storylines and yet you suggest there are these great themes; themes work underneath the surface story to hold the plot together and give the storylines something to coalesce around. That's not being done well and thoroughly.

Of course, I did not expected you to. And no I won't go through your posts on TWD. This is a FTWD thread so.
What was wrong about Strand, or Alicia or others? I agree with Nick though, his arc is a bit awful.
But everyone else's arc are great and realistic. Their struggle well established and consistent with their own experiences.
You should at least try to give me some examples on what's wrong in their arcs, or your comment will remain.useless -

There is some "what is the show about" element missing. It tries to be a bit of everything. Since the audience knows that there is no hope to find a cure, it is difficult to replace this element of the original series. Especially as the show moved over the end of civilization with this absurd speed, ending up pretty much where the original started, just in a different region.

CHRIS how has he not been killed off yet???? He is without a doubt the worst character of any show I have ever watched. He's a little bitch. If I were his dad I would kill him myself. Every time he is on the screen I'm thinking oh god please let this be the time he gets offed. Literally the worst character. How could anyone in this storyline universe tolerate such a little prick

Did you watch Season 2? Probably not, based on your post but had you paid attention, you'd know that Chris was killed by his "friend" Brandon who shot him in the head after Chris wrecked the pickup they were driving.

It's got nothing to do with not enough shoot-em-up, but it's always the same beep recycled. Both got religious nuts who think the zombies can be saved, stuck on farms, annoying kids who turn psycho (Carl was the original).
Main difference is FTWD has an entire cast of forgettable, expendable characters. Except maybe Nick up until the point he turned stupid post-farm. His sister is starting to grow on me but I'm nearing the end of season 2 so that's a long time to wait for it.
