I almost stopped watching it. The priest Beocca comes towards the boat, and Uhtred is so delighted to see him he runs towards him and says (according to the subtitles) "Are you kidding?" This is supposed to be Britain in the medieval period! next we'll have Uhtred saying "That sucks" to one of his buddies. I hope Corwin or Orson have a good explanation for this dreadful anachronism.

no poxy faces, no terrible facial scars, few limps, no curved spines, and no dental emergencies in general… and yeah except for the young ex-monk buddy of Uhtred, the hair is great!

The original Uhtred was probably only 4 feet tall, had a face ravaged by the pox, no teeth at all, and lice playing football across his scalp. And he sounded like Steve Lake when he spoke!
