Most men are pretty useless and a lot of them sort of get written off by society anyway. Would it be more efficient and even more compassionate to have fewer men?
You don't need a 50/50 split to keep the population going. As AI advances, we won't need them for physical labor jobs soon either. I think a goal of 5% male, 95% female, with some organization to prevent inbreeding, would be ideal.
The only question is what would we do with all the unnecessary males?

This would also solve the gun control issue, since there won't be mass shooters (their type would be eliminated) and actually, a much less prominent need for guns for protection as well.

I'm on the fence with this one. Boys are fine until they hit puberty, then they transform into monsters. So although I understand the benefits of ending their life before they get to that point, I still see children as fairly innocent.
