I think they just liked messing with the fans, who were protective of Richard Armitage. Some of them hated the comments about Richard being gay.
People thought someone on the Richard board was friends with an IMDb admin, because people who trolled on the Richard board kept getting banned (Pete lost at least a few accounts after he trolled there).
