No attempt at justifying Rick/Michonne relationship?

Its been a long time since they introduced us to them as a couple, since then they have made zero attempts in building their relationship but in every episode we get a hint that yea they banging, but aside from that no couple moments at all? hell even video games these days do a better job at portraying relationships. Look no further people, this is evidence right here that shows just how incompetent the show creators are.
Unlike other people i had no problem when Rick/Michonne got together, i thought it would be interesting to see how these characters evolve, but all we have now is a mother figure for the two kids and the dad feels obligated to bed her. Atleast they added some romantic moments between Rick and Jesse, but they totally dropped the ball with Rick and Michonne. -

I absolutely adore Michonnes character and I love Rick too but the two of them together just doesn't compute to me.
They are fantastic as individuals but there just isn't any or enough chemistry between them to justify an intimate relationship. -

Considering it was her speech to him that got him inspired to fight, plus the way they are showing they are alpha male and female, yet little signs of tenderness, everyone seems to be missing that somehow

I like them both as individuals but not as a couple. They're awkward. The writers built their friendship throughout the series and never hinted any romantic inklings, and bringing Jesse into the picture didn't help at all because rick was immediately infactuayed with her, throwing off whatever "relationship" the writers were trying to create, IF they were even trying.
Them banging cans out completely out of the blue. They make a great team but not romantically, but I guess as long as they're a "team" they have to ship them unless Rick stays single, but I don't see why not since daryl seems to be asexual. -

This is why writers should never listen to want the audience wants. No matter what, people will complain. What else do they need to do in order to develop Rick and Michonne? It's clear as day that they are a couple without it being the focus of the show. The way they are handling the relationship is smart. Michonne and Rick clearly care about each other and are supportive of one another. We don't need a scene explaining their relationship every other episode. The focus this season is on the group banding together to get rid of Negan and that's what they have done. What exactly do people want?

Quite right. It's enough of a soap opera as is, lovey dovey crap will only bog it down further. AND, these are adults in an adult relationship, if they started acting like teenagers in love it would be pretty cringe-worthy.
