I just watched it and had no problem at all with the accents, New York, USA here. Great little film but for your safety you should watch it drunk!

Then close your mouths and give you ears a chance. You will find that you can cope more with different accents.

Yes but there are about 20 Irish accents on the island of Ireland.
I'm from Ireland myself but I remember meeting a guy at a festival and talking to him for a minute and thinking he was German. It was only after another minute I realised he was from Cork. LOL

haha! dublin here and you're right!
as Tommy Tiernan says, the Cork accent sounds a bit like tinkers trying to speak French.

I'm English and my mum was Irish (Mayo), she used to sing a little ditty that started 'Aroo from Cork'? I know it off by heart but don't know the correct way to spell it (if there is one)!
I can't differentiate between the different Irish accents, except the Dublin one but they're all pretty nice to listen to.
                The film wasn't bad either.

I'm good at distinguishing accents and understanding them because of all of the foreign films I watch (USA) but I hate when people treat others like they're idiots because accents are hard for them to understand right away. What are you supposed to do if you almost never hear them?
I live in NC. It's not the most exotic place. There are a lot of Spanish-speaking people here and people of southern Asian decent. I hear their accents constantly. But I can't remember the last person from Europe that I encountered. Maybe a year ago

Until you get to the guys who whistled at Lisa near the beginning, and talked such gibberish that she put away her notebook. Hilarious scene!

I think that guy was Polish, he says his name like Mateusz Analyvic and then something in Polish.

English isnt even my native and i and no problem understanding them. Except when that drunk was mumbling, but i guess it was part of the joke.
I find it only Americans ever complain about accents, dunno why.
