Main antagonist or not, he is still a first timer in his first film. The comparison between his pay and one of the biggest A list stars on the planet is not interesting at all. It is to be expected.
Nothing to see here, move along.

Boy, you are taking this personally.
He also makes it to the lowest paid list on this website. Here's the link:

No I am not taking it personally. I am simply responding to your post.
Your post seems to imply there is something wrong with the salaries, that they should be more equal somehow and that there is something wrong as to why they are not.
There isn't.
The idea that I am taking it personally, is your own false delusion as to my disposition.

Welcome to the world of CG. You really can't interact with him. He freaks out about everything, has absolutely no sense of humor and is nothing more than a contrarian. He's a troll, you'd be best to just put him on ignore.

You just couldn't not respond could you?
Run along, you must have some post to freak out over and to explode into some cussing frenzy. I mean, at least you have good judgment when to and when not to lose it (sarcasm), the threads you freak out over (80% of them) are SOOO important.
Hilarious? I wouldn't use that word. One must be able to recognize humor and possess the ability to apply and or understand humor to properly use the word. Those self important hot heads (you) with no sense of humor should stay clear of such usages.

I mean seriously "an interesting comparison", that was enough to anger you and get a foul response? "What's your point", well, he said "an interesting comparison". The point was in the OP. It was a neutral statement, not positive or negative, not good or bad. You applied the negative meaning all on your own and went on one of your typical internet message board rants. It's really no big deal, everyone has one from time to time. You just seem to have them ALLL the time. You're so predicable it's sad. I can read a thread and see the list of responses and then see the little sailor head icon in the responses and 9 times out of 10 I know what the response will be. You going berserk and acting like a psycho path and going off on some tangent. You go off about the stupidest stuff too. Like this thread. Your complaint isn't even justified, you're the one making it negative. Half of your complaints (which you constantly do) aren't that bad if you didn't act like such a pretentious, self righteous ass.

No, you kind of did. You're starting to act like a lecturing ass over nothing.
Your post seems to imply there is something wrong with the salaries
Actually he didn't. I used basic reading comprehension to see he didn't imply ANYTHING. The phrase "an interesting comparison" does NOT imply there is something wrong with the salaries. That came only from you.
The idea that I am taking it personally, is your own false delusion as to my disposition.
No, he's spot on. You're getting hostile and snippy (you just can't help yourself) for absolutely NO REASON, and he just reflected back to you what he was picking up from you.
You are REALLY hypersensitive and a ticking time bomb. Are you even capable of being easy going? At least wait for something WORTH getting bent out of shape over before getting bent out of shape.

So Abdi is probably making triple the pay he did before working on his first movie ever, and Hanks pay is probably not much higher or lower than he's been making for a decade or more. If Abdi had been in major Hollywood productions for 30 years and still making fairly meager amounts, then I'd find it more interesting.

he is lucky to gt 65k. folks would like to do free if you get a break in big time holly-wood. robert downey junior was paid how much for iron-man 1? And look how much he is making today. he needed that movie to get his career back on track!
this boy got a great break now he can cash inn. And plenty of hours will come.
the acting was good but there was only so much his role allowed! -

Selling your skills is the same as any other business. There can be a minimum price attached to it to get a foothold. But, working for free has the undesired effect of bargaining from a position of weakness for your next opportunity.

in somalia, that is lot of money!
he was given the role more for authenticity rather than lack of talent available locally( they could have hired a somalian immigrant who could act in usa. and there are plenty: euthopian, kenyan etc)
he is a virtual unknown.
the exposure is worth more than the money for starters( just like lot of superstars do james bond movies for just a presence).
But he can reap rewards later. IF you are good more will always come.
when folks joined google, facebook etc, they worked for next to nothing and within 5 years they laughed all the way to the bank. I tried that too but we ended up on the other side of the coin!
