Modern take on it by Mike Flanagan.

4 episodes in, so far so good.
Pretty damned woke though, can’t imagine a family like that being so multicultural
. Not to mention Asian boyfriend character being nothing but perfect gay boyfriend complete with Lesbian power couple.
Definitely way better than the show Flanagan did with the cancer kids telling stories. -

10-4 on the Ryan Murphy vibes
But thank **** Flanagan’s writing and direction is 20x better imo.
5 episodes in, trying to take my time. Still enjoying it, small gripe is the antagonist mystery consequence woman isn’t doing it for me with her monologues. I’m sure it’ll make sense in the end but I found myself mouthing the words “what is she, ****ing evil Yoda?” Last night.

It was okay, but not the best. Verna is fantastic, of course.
Major miscast with Juno (from the Midnight Club). That didn't make any sense. So many things didn't make any sense.
Other than a few blips, pretty good casting and acting. It was easy to hate some of these characters.
It was fun seeing some Battlestar Galactica actors in this.
Anyone notice the reference to
"bent neck girl"
in this one? Subtle, if you want to read that into the image. They keep the threads and maintain the stylized filming, jumping through time and flashbacks.
Poor Lenore. The best and the brightest, and the most innocent.

Rhe actress who plays Juno never had any acting experience before The Midnight Club. She got famous on TikTok and got recruited from there for the show. She's an amputee as well so there's who knows, there might be a bit of a fascination thing going on as well as the discovery thing.
