Apparently your genious level intellect, your ultra high education and by and large the Supreme Human Being of your existence, the one that looks everyone else like ants, missed the sarcasm of this guy. Keep on calling everyone else pathetic, imbecile and uneducated mate; this road will lead you down the drain before you can spell BluLuBoyle.

Re-read the guys comment, it wasn't sarcasm, either you didn't follow the thread or you are incapable of understanding the genesis of the discussion.
Thats "genesis", not "genius"which you couldn't spell correctly either.
        Get back under your rock.Mate.

Not to point out the obvious, but the movie is called "Machine Gun Preacher", to ask "WTF is with this religious crap??" is like watching Titanic and saying "WTF is with this giant sinking ship??"

The film was a biography, so it was naturally supposed to move around Sam Childers' life. If Sam was Charles Manson reborn the film would look entirely different. With that said, and letting be known that I am totally non-religious, I did not the see the film as a "religious indocrination". I do not know what happened in real Sam's life but in the film they took a balanced approach. I do not want to spoil anything (possible minor SPOILERS ahead) but particularly towards the end the plot was not so much focused on religion as on Sam himself, his inner struggle. And eventually it is certainly not Jesus that "saves" him.
Jesus had all along been a scheme to feel less guilt and also have a "divine justification" for his actions.

I agree, maybe it's because so many young people are going agnostic and atheist now that the cults, I mean "religions" have to make films like these to help get us back lol. I'm laughing but seriously the influence hollywood has on people especially children is disgusting. This past decade has mostly been military recruitment pieces.

What about the influence of churches on children?

I'm incapable of understanding these militant atheistic viewpoints that only they are allowed to make movie and any message that they don't like is indoctrination or propaganda. The hell are you watching this for? You really think the religious are not allowed to enter the free market of entertainment and ideas? This is the story, THIS is the message and I really don't give two salty balls if you are so intolerant too such a good will message that it blinds you from even the most remote sense of intelligence. Make your own movies pushing your hateful disdain of religion, I'm sure it will flop just as hard as your reasoning.

I'd bet you'd be first in line if they made a movie about Dawkins or Hitchens.
