The movie felt long and it portrait Christians poorly I thought. They aren't that weird , well not all are atleast.

Religious people are all brainwashed zombies forced into thinking if they dont follow a book they will spend eternity with a giant red man with fire.
Why would a God judge "his children"? If "god" makes us in his image wouldnt we be exactly what he wants? So wouldnt that make us all perfect to him since you bible thumpers say he creates life?

Before making statements you should actually do some reading, otherwise it makes you look stupid.

I feel like you learned this from a four year old who sleeps through church. You are so off base its crazy. Never heard of being given free will eh?

I have to disagree that it makes Christians looks wierd from my point of view. Seeing the scenes where he was preaching in the small church he founded takes me back to when I attended churches like that. The people attending were often not the suit-clad stiffs that fill the big churches in the city but regular people who weren't afraid to be themselves. Butler's portrayal of Childers reminded me of a lot of people who accept Christ and come from a troubled background and the struggles they deal with in changing over.
