And it's only on cable every now and thenand it's not on demand.
I didn't see the part where Tricia lost her baby.
What part in the movie did that happen??
I'm like obsessed with this movie right now..and want to see it again so badly.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks. -

Spoilers
Tricia didn't lose the baby, exactly - Callie (I think that's how you spell it?) wanted to "trade" after her sister was taken, and the creature threw back the baby (presumably cut out of Tricia), which was not viable outside of the womb. When Callie saw it was a dead/dying fetus and not her sister (presumably with baby intact), she knew she'd been cheated and tried to run, but it got her too. Callie had unknowingly traded for her brother in law to be released - initially, she left food (thinking it was for Walter, the man she met in the tunnel), and ended up with the pile of watches/jewelry on her porch, then under her pillow. She returned those items and her brother in law returned, only to be taken back. I'm thinking she had to make more sacrifices/leave higher value items to keep him out - Walter's son had been leaving neighborhood pets for some time, and Walter was out for a bit once (but too weak to leave the tunnel), and then was found dead right outside the tunnel. Either he tried to escape while the creature was out, stealing Tricia, or perhaps it was angry that the son was late with a "payment" (he was caught by the police walking to the tunnel with a dog in a garbage bag).
At least, that's my understanding.
They're coming to get you, Barbara! -

Glad I read this. I thought for the "trade" the "thing" just threw out one of the dead pets or something, it happened so fast I didn't notice it was the fetus. I got every thing else and the point of the "trade" but jeez, that is even creepier.
Really great movie btw. -

Great summary. I see is similarly but slightly different. The insect is a creature from another dimension, with the power to capture people and make them invisible to others.
Callie unknowingly traded the food, for the jewelry. When she returned the jewelry, the insect "insisted" on the trade by putting it on her pillow from the walls of her house. However, it also saw her spit the little insect down the drain, and thus "fixated" on her. Next, it tried to initiate a trade by returning Daniel in exchange for something. When that failed, it took Daniel back. Finally, it forcibly initiated a trade by killing Walter Scott and leaving him there. By doing this it lost both Walter AND his son, who was basically trapped in the area and forced to constantly bring pets. So in exchange, it felt entitled to take two lives, Tricia and her unborn fetus. In the end, Callie tries to initiate a final trade but it goes horribly wrong. -

It's on Netflix, at least here in Canada.

It's only shown in the background when Callie goes to the tunnel and yells "Trade" over and over. The fetus appears on the ground behind her but it's out of focus.
