That scene made the whole movie for me! Snow is not longer the sumise, helpless little girl she was at the beginning of her journey; she is the hero of her own story and doesn't need to be saved. I think the twist, acknowledging her growth, was brilliant.
And we don't actually get to see the Queen eating the apple. I think the exchange was there just to show her accepting Snow's victory.

I hated the apple scene in both Mirror Mirror and SWATH. In Mirror Mirror it came off as fake and a pathetic attempt to be cool and pit a twist on the story, but it didn't work for me.

I thought the apple twist was one of the few things worthwhile about the film.

I guess one of the reasons they did that is because the movie was over? I mean it felt like if they added the glass coffin it would have been too much? I Didn't like the twist but I felt that the movie was pretty much over so there was no need to have Snow white fainting. You couldn't have 2 happy endings that would be too much.

It was also good that she broke the curse on the Prince with a kiss and not the other way around. It's her tale after all. 🙂

I thought it was cute. I went "aww how cute" nice twist however, if they figured that adding that twist in order to have another dealing with the King well that wasn't very smart because that twist with the king was just silly. I would have preferred the original thing with Snow White being kissed and all of that instead of back to back twists.

No, but the whole dog thing was weird. And why did the dwarves steal the clothing? Strange that the Queen's room was open to the outdoors.

So did Snow White make The Queen commit suicide right in front of her and everybody else? That's badass.

Hmmm I don't know if she forced her to eat the apple slice. She offered her the apple and repeated the line from earlier "It's important to know when you have been beaten". She was prompting/urging the witch to know it's over and kill herself but she might not have, she might have just continued living as an old hag until she died of old age. It's ambiguous. The important part was Snow White letting the witch know that the latter had lost and that it was over. Not whether or not she eats the apple. But she might well have.

That was actually the only part I liked in the movie.

You can blame me but I wanted the Queen to win at the end more than Snow White while at the beginning I wanted her dead. I think it's because of Julie. She just won me over again. Sorry, Lilly and please, if you want to be a singer, sing something like your father in the future. No Bollywood 🙂

not in the slightest. We didn't need that "someday my prince will come and save me with a kiss" business. By this time Snow was wired in to the Wicked Queen's tricks.

nope. the witch needed a slice of humble pie. the glass coffin and a kiss to a corpse figure is boring and really quite revolting to me
