Am I the only one who liked it?

Everyone was good in it and the fantasy element was unique (loved those puppet monsters). Julia Roberts was funny while devious and somewhat sinister. Lily Collins was adorable, can't wait to her again. Armie Hammer was suprisingly hilarious was a great leading man (can't wait to see what he does as The Lone Ranger). And finally, all the dwarfs stole every scene they were in, absolutely hysterical.

I saw it yesterday the saturday matinee in a theater loaded w/ kids. Many of the jokes and references went over their heads (fine with me.) I'm a middle aged woman and did enjoy the movie. Is it great cinema? Certainly not. but it's sweet, and fun. End of story. Nathan Lane was terrific; the dwarfs (or dwarves, depending on which dictionary you use) were skillful and had some great lines. Julia? Adorable.
Just a decent family film. -

I loved it. A nice mix of kid-friendly and adult-friendly humor with no pointless potty humor.
It's a much more authentic and innocent fairy tale film than I was expecting as well. The trailer would have you believe it's a full on cynical Shrek lampooning of fairy tales but it's really not. Roles are reversed and tongue in cheek humor is there but it is a classic fairy tale at heart.
Some of the humor did fall flat for me but overall I really enjoyed this. Charming and visually captivating. -

I enjoyed it
I knew going in it was going to be light fare (so obvious from the trailer to me what sort of film it was). Loved the artwork, costuming, the humor and tongue-in-cheek script, and the spirit of the film. It's definitely a film I will want to add to my collection for those times I just want a good, fun, light movie to watch -

I enjoyed it. My adult daughter and I saw it yesterday morning. It was fun fare that made us giggle and smile. I wasn't expecting an epic drama - I went for the fun of the movie. And that's exactly what I received.

Took my 12 year old to see it, and we both liked itIf you want a really good movie that requires serious thought, this isn't the movie for thatHowever, it was enjoyable enough for me to sit through and age appropriate for my tween daughter

I liked it - funny, great cinematography, great costumes, a bit of fantasy, role reversals, true love:-)
I cannot imagine why people don't like it, probably expected something else? I am trusting imdb ratings less and less. -

I enjoyed it a lot. Loved the dwarves and Armie Hammer as the Prince. I liked the humor and ADORED the super gorgeous directing (I am a huge Tarsem fan), designs, sets, and Eiko-san's amazing costumes. Nothing epic, but a thoroughly fun movie.

I liked it too. It was a decent family film. I liked how it didn't follow the usual tale-Snow wakes the Prince with a kiss, and isn't tricked easily. I think too many people are trying to negatively compare it to the other one coming out soon that is obviously supposed to be darker, for an older audience.

Not the most amazing movie but I'm a Tarsem fan and I thought it was beautiful.
