What do you guys think of Josh?

I like him. He's not as "hippie dippy" as Cody and Matt. Don't get me wrong, I think Matt is great, but it seems like his chosen method of rescue is to set up camp and wait for civilization to build out to him.
What I like about Josh is that he counters Grady's rush rush rush attitude. He slows them down so they will be better prepared for their next trial. For example, when they went to retrieve the inflatable raft, Grady wanted to jump right in. Josh countered that they'd better have a fire going BEFORE, because Grady was sure going to need one when he came out. It was the same when they built the raft to paddle across croc infested waters, and he wanted to spend another night. Darkness was approaching, although it was still a little while away. Bu they would have had to almost immediately make camp once they got across the water. It made sense to me to stay one more night and start fresh in the morning.
I also loved it when he pushed Grady off the low cliff.

I like him. But I wouldn't dare head out into a wilderness situation with him where the threat of dangerous animals existed, without wearing an extra heavy duty athletic cup
Excellent point. That should be a pinned post on here in case anyone here gets invited on a camping trip with him.

I disagree.
I'm already tired of Josh's let's keep moving mentality. The only time I think it's been good for them was in "Out of Air" where moving was the only thing that would improve their situation.
While I do think Josh is more tolerable than Bill his schtick is getting old. His jokes about murdering Grady are played out. He needs to tone down it down.
If Matt didn't get to stick around for a few seasons there's no reason to keep inferior people around longer. -

I hadn't noticed Josh having a "keep moving attitude." I guess maybe because it was so prevalent with Grady, and Joe before him. I was watching the episode in the Pacific northwest where Joe actually agreed it was a good idea to just camp out until someone came along. Joe even talked about improving your situation while you wait for rescue. Wish they would do more of that.

Josh and Grady are a good mix. The show is just more entertaining now, much more than with Joe and Cody. Cody seemed like he hated what he was doing, and that definitely came across in everything he was doing. Nothing could be fun, the entire situation was life or death, and he couldn't get out of that mindset.

I like Josh, he at least has some personality. He hasn't struck me as being the best survivor I've ever seen on the show by any means, but he's funny, and at least he and Grady make for an interesting mix. I do agree with an above poster, I think his jokes about murdering Grady wear thin quickly.
Now the new guy, the air force guy, can't remember his name. Haven't seen enough to form an opinion on him, but he and Grady together are a bit of a snooze. Too much alike. -

Oh my gosh, I was laughing and seriously enjoying Josh on the show. Grady is okay, but the two of them together had amazing chemistry. So far, I've seen once episode with Bo (spelling?), and I'm ok with them. But I seriously absolutely love Josh. I was super bummed when I found out he was only on a few episodes. I wish they would have kept him longer.

I'm seriously missing Josh after watching a couple of episodes with the new guy Bo. He doesn't seem to have any personality after coming from Josh. I was laughing throughout the episode, and just enjoying the entire show. I found myself checking my phone or skipping through parts of these last episodes.
They need to bring him back and let it be Grady/Josh for a few seasons. -

I'm missing Josh even more now that we're about to be subjected to the Naked and Afraid guys. Oh well, I'll give them a chance.
By the way, I did see the episode where Josh wanted to "keep moving", but it was just one incident. Can't remember where they were, but they were up in the mountains in the snow. Grady wanted to shelter down in this cozy looking nook in the hill, because the visibility was so bad they couldn't tell where they were going.
Josh said "We're going that way". He said it looked like a nice place to give up and die, but he wasn't ready to spend the night there. They had no fire and he wanted to get lower. -

I'm doing my best to keep an open mind on them.

I finally saw that one, too. The last couple weeks (or is it months) have been busy and I was a week or 2 behind for awhile. I thought Josh had a good point. Yeah, they had a place for shelter but not enough materials for fire. As far as not knowing what direction to go, I think "down" would be the best option considering the conditions.
